Meeting Schedule

The Halton-Hamilton Source Protection Committee is meeting three or four times each year. The meetings align with business on-going and discussions or approvals that need to occur. Meetings are typically held at either the Conservation Halton or Hamilton Conservation Authority office, occassionally at a rented venue, on a Tuesday afternoon between 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm.

An annual progress report on source protection plan implementation is due to the Director of the Source Protection Programs Branch of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change by May 1 each year. Ontario Regulation 287/07 requires that Source Protection Authorities submit the prepared report to the Source Protection Committee at least 30 days prior to submission to the Director. The Committee will review the report and, as required, prepare their opinion whether the objectives set out in the plan are being achieved by the measures used to implement the source protection plan policies. This opinion will be submitted to the Director with the progress report. To meet the deadline of May 1, a meeting of the Source Protection Committee will be scheduled for early March each year.
